Select Strategies For my Blended Learning lesson I chose rotation model with station rotation. My curriculum requires that students be able to read, write and speak in the target language. This model will allow students to do all three. Small group instruction and individualized learning will be used to discuss their scholl schedule in the target language. Students will first work with me to ask and answer basic questions in the target language. Then they will create a Voki in which they describe a typical class in the target language. While students work on their Voki's I will be able to move around the room to assist other students. In the second rotation, students will work collaboratively to read and answer questions about three infographics. This will provide them the opportunity to read authentic text in the target language. Finally, students will work independently on Google Classroom to complete a written assignment about their school schedule. Select Resources Technology and Media Students will use Google Classroom and Voki during this lesson. Students will use Google Classroom to complete their writing assignment, submit their Voki, and view infographics about school in the target language. The writing assignment will be completed via a shared form in which each student receives a copy of the form. Students will then submit the writing assignment through Google Classroom. Students will also find links to three infographics in google classroom. Students will work with a partner to answer questions about the info graphics. Students will use the website Voki.com to create a Voki and record themselves describing a typical class. They will then access a Google Form via Google Classroom to submit their work. The lesson includes a teacher created assignment sheet in Google Classroom. This assignment sheet clearly describes the expectations and requirements of each station. I also created questions to accompany the infographics. Students were provided a hard copy of the questions and were asked to complete their work with a partner. Finally, I created the writing assignment in Google Classroom and the speaking assignment completed using Voki. The rubric used to grade each assignment was provided to all students prior to the lesson. The rubrics are used through the county and are based on the ACTFL standards.
